2031 Adam Castaneda

Dukes 13u National

 

Adam has a lean, athletic frame and showed he can impact the game in multiple ways. Offensively, he features a simple setup with a short, compact swing and strong bat-to-ball skills. Over the weekend he tallied five hits, scored three runs, and drove in four, posting an outstanding 0.714 batting average. He also showcased his speed and baserunning IQ, swiping three bags. Adam was equally impressive on the mound, tossing four innings while allowing two earned runs and striking out three. His all-around efforts played a key role in leading his team on a deep playoff run.

Hector has a big, strong frame and proved to be an offensive threat all weekend. At the plate, he features a balanced setup with a solid base and quick hands, paired with a mature gap-to-gap approach. He consistently creates good extension through contact, allowing him to drive the ball with authority. Over the weekend, he tallied four hits, scored three runs, and drove in six RBIs while posting a 0.400 batting average. Hector’s offensive production played a key role in leading his team on their playoff run.

Briggs consistently filled up the zone with a two-pitch mix, featuring a heavy fastball that sat at 76-80 mph and a sharp curveball at 65-68 mph.
